Please Allow me to Introduce Myself!
My name is Kenneth L. Montgomery. I am the award-winning photographer and digital artist behind Fine Art Expressions. I am new to Substack. Being an environment where creatives can interact and share their artwork with one another as well as with the broader art community, I think that Substack is a worthwhile community to join.
One definition of expression is, “the act of expressing, conveying, or representing in words, art, music, or movement.” In the 1920’s, Fred R. Bernard popularized the phrase, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” To me, that conveys the notice that the visual aspect of a work can share quite a lot about the expression. However, that is still just part of the overall essence of the piece. The rest can be ascertained via stories, insights and the motivation that lead to their creation.
The goal of my Fine Art Expressions subcommunity is to share my artistic creations with accompanying words to more fully convey the full essence of each expression. If this sounds appealing, I encourage you to join my subcommunity.
